Dentures

Dentures are one way of replacing missing teeth. They are made from hard-wearing materials that mimic the look of teeth and gums to give your mouth a natural appearance. They are removed for cleaning and maintenance of your teeth and gums.

Why might they be needed?

They can be used to replace missing teeth and to improve your appearance. Dentures may also be used to help eating and speaking.

Are they the only solution to my gap?

There are lots of ways of filling in ‘gaps’. It depends on where the space is and how large. Fixed, more stable options to consider are bridges and implants.

Denture Stabilisation

Your denture can be fixed to your jaw with dental implants making them more secure. This treatment is known as an implant denture which stabilises the denture in your jaw.

Benefits include improved confidence in your smile and the ability to chew and enjoy food without your denture moving. In turn, patients suffer less with irritation to the gums and a sore mouth.

Patients report that their lives have been transformed.

“I have smoked since I was a kid and unfortunately I have started losing teeth because of it. I discussed my options with Mark and he suggested a denture. I am pleased with how well it fits because I did think it would be a pain. Thanks.”

“My denture was getting old and food was getting trapped under it. I went to see Mark and he made me a new one. It is a perfect fit.”

“I don’t have any top teeth and I have worn a denture for years. I noticed I was really careful about what I was eating when I went out so I looked in to something more stuck in. Laura has done me some implants and I now have a denture that sticks in to them. It is brilliant. Thank you.”
