Enhance orthodontics announces the launch of its new collaboration with the charity Operation Smile.

Who Are Operation Smile?

Operation Smile is one of the oldest and largest volunteer-based organisations dedicated to improving the lives of children worldwide, they give children and young adults in low and middle-income countries free cleft surgery they could not otherwise access or afford.

Children Suffer Around The World

Every 3 minutes a child is born with a cleft lip or cleft palate. They may suffer from hunger and thirst, difficulty with speech and suffer social isolation.

Operation Smile believes that where you live, shouldn’t determine if you live.

A 45- Minute Surgery Can Change A Life

It takes as little as 45 minutes to perform a safe, effective reconstructive surgery that can change a child’s life forever.

THIS IS NGAN’S STORY

Ngan was born with a cleft lip and palate. In many ways, Ngan wasn’t just born without a healthy smile, she was born without a future.

Without help, Ngan’s family would never have been able to afford the reconstructive surgery that would change her life and give her a bright future. When Ngan’s parents heard that Opeartion Smile was conducting a surgical misson in Denang, Vietnam, they travelled for 24 hours to bring Ngan to the medical mission.

HOPE….

Ngan’s surgery took just under 45 minutes and fully repaired her cleft lip. Her beautiful new smile has given her hope for her future. She dreams of becoming a teacher one day. She and her family feel immeasurable gratitude for Operation Smile and the gift they gave Ngan for a brighter future.

Our Support

This is a charity that is close to our hearts. We are in a fortunate position of being able to enhance our patients’ smiles whereas in some parts of the world children are waiting for cleft surgery. We are initially going to fundraise for this great cause by donating whenever our orthodontic patients start treatment.
